Region’s Top CMOs Honored at DCA Live

04 May Region’s Top CMOs Honored at DCA Live

Chief Marketing Officers are more used to building interest in their companies than in themselves, but Wednesday night saw the spotlight shine on some of best CMOs when they were honored at DCA Live’s  Top CMO event.

Hosted at the 80 M St SE WeWork, near Navy Yard, the event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, technologists and more from around the region to celebrate the talents and skills of area CMOs.

“Each year our goal is to applaud the marketers that are the strength behind the hottest businesses and organizations in the region,” Doug Anderson, founder and president of DCA Live said ahead of the event. “Some of these companies are just making a name for themselves, and some of them are mainstays that continue to innovate and excel. This group of leaders is core to the region as it grows as a prominent tech hub.”

After conversation and mingling over drinks and food (provided by local startup Hungry), Anderson introduced himself to the crowd and explained the concept of DCA Live, which has hosted events to honor dynamic professionals and companies in the region since 2014.

SpeakerBox CEO Elizabeth Shea and Chief Listening Officers founder Bob London invited the winners up by name to receive their plaques and be applauded by the enthusiastic audience. SpeakerBox clients were well-represented among the winners, including John Hurley of Foley & Lardner, James Robins of GoCanvas, Nate Sullivan of, FiscalNote, Vicki Warker of Savi Technology, and Stephanie Wonderlick of Red Hat.
