5 Marketing Predictions for 2014

15 Jan 5 Marketing Predictions for 2014

We’re working in an exciting time for marketing and PR. Every year new tools and trends emerge that change the way we think, the way we operate, and the marketing landscape as a whole.

This constant change can seen daunting, scary, and exhausting to keep up with but at SpeakerBox we’re inspired by innovative new ideas. In our initial meetings this year we have had discussions around what we can do to keep current and how we can best align our clients with the changing market.

Offerpop recently put together an infographic laying out their 5 stand-out predictions for marketing in 2014. There is no doubt that this year will continue the evolution of social marketing, but the prediction I was most surprised by was #4: Brands Will Make New Strides in Social Commerce.

Mobile commerce is a rapidly expanding market (if you’re not using the Starbucks app you should be) but the idea that 74% of consumers already rely on social networks for purchasing decisions is amazing. I, for one, am interested to see what brands across the board do in 2014 to expand their mobile and social capabilities for direct marketing.

What are you surprised by? Do you have a 2014 marketing prediction that isn’t on the list? Share it with us below and be sure to check out the full infographic for all of Offerpop’s 2014 marketing predictions.
